Therapeutic yoga for neck relief.

EVANSVILLE YOGA FOR NECK PAIN

Relief starts with your breath.

Neck pain has a way of sneaking into everything—how you sleep, how you drive, how you sit at work, even how you show up in your relationships. Whether it’s a dull ache that lingers or sharp discomfort that disrupts your day, chronic neck tension isn’t something you just have to live with. I help people in Evansville (and beyond) use yoga therapy to gently relieve neck pain and regain comfort in their daily lives.

Through breath-centered movement, mindful attention, and simple tools that are adapted specifically for your body, yoga therapy becomes a way to shift not only the pain itself—but the patterns that may be causing it.

Why Yoga for Neck Pain?

The neck is one of the most sensitive and emotionally reactive areas of the body. It holds tension from posture, stress, past injury, and even the way we breathe. I often find that when the breath becomes shallow or the shoulders creep up from stress, the neck takes the hit.

In yoga therapy, we don’t just stretch the neck and hope for the best. We take the time to look at your whole system—posture, breathing patterns, stress response, even daily habits—and gently work toward balance from the inside out.

This is not about pushing through pain. It’s about slowing down enough to listen to the messages your body is sending, and giving it the support it needs to function more freely.

What to Expect

Some people I work with have limited mobility. Others are recovering from past injury or simply want to address that “knot in the neck” that never seems to go away. Wherever you are in your body, there is a starting point that is accessible and safe.

In many cases, relief can be felt within the first few sessions—especially as the nervous system begins to settle and the breath becomes more full and steady.

The Whole-Person Approach

I view neck pain not just as a structural issue, but as a message from your system. That means I consider the physical body and your emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns in our work together. We might explore how you hold your breath under stress, or what happens in your system when your shoulders tense.

This work is subtle, but incredibly powerful. As we create more space and softness through the breath, the muscles begin to follow.

If your neck pain has been holding you back, let’s talk.
